Violante de Carroz is a red wine, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC 2015, produced and bottled by Cantina Ogliastra in Tortoli, Sardinia, Italy. I liked immediately the intense and velvety garnet color. The scent is fruity and balsamic and I found it full and harmonious, tastefully tannic. I matched this Cannonau to a sandwich I made with the free-range chicken cutlet with a grilled tomino with fried potato chips, red onion and sweet and sour gherkins.
