Close to Wine explores Italian wineries through their wines and everyday food. We begin in Sardinia and plan to expand gradually across Italy’s twenty regions.
A recipe, a winery to discover
Each recipe links to a specific wine and its producer. Pairings are reasoned editorial suggestions, not reports of tastings that never took place. Wine entries cite official producer sources.
A growing catalogue
Our first selection includes eight wineries and thirteen Sardinian wines. It is not a complete census. Navigation and introduction pages are available in five languages; recipes and catalogue entries are currently in Italian and prepared for independent WPML translations.
Editorial dates and images
The initial recipe collection is arranged as 52 weekly issues, dated backwards from 24 October 2026 to 1 November 2025. The texts were prepared for the October 2026 relaunch; archive dates do not claim earlier historical publication.
